Why People Fail at Kicking Bad Habits for a new Lifestyle?

Healthy People - Healthy Lifestyle PhotoYou can’t follow a list of “to do” things if you want to change your lifestyle. This is as real as it gets. Men and women are both struggling for the finer things in life. Some deem it as money, while others interpret it all as having a decent lifestyle with latest ongoing health standards. We like to stick with the latter kind.

So you made a new-year resolution about weight loss, about not eating junk food, about working out at least an hour in the gym. Congratulations. What’s going to happen next is that you will keep up with these resolutions for a maximum of a month or two and then you will stop.

This is the turning point where women and men fail to achieve their fitness goals. They give up. They start out very ambitiously but eventually, they recede to the same old bad habits. It is the same old 11 PM dinners, same old alcohol consumption, same old partying with friends excuse and of course, “I have a very busy life” reason.

Some Tips to Help you Kick Bad Habits for a New Lifestyle:

Start Small – Grow Bigger: The element of utmost importance here is setting small goals. No matter what kind of level you want to be at, start with something small. Such goals can be going out for a 20 minute cardio every 2nd day of the week. After you are used to this routine, it is time to add more regularity to it.

A Lifetime of Bad Habits Can’t be Undone in a Month: Bad habits could be eating too much despite of knowing that you are already full. Bad habits are when you have been staying up late, denying your body the rest it deserves. Admit it, you have been indulging in sub standard lifestyle for years now. You don’t want to change this in a month. Gym is not a magic pill, same goes for Yoga, strength training regimes and all the other workout sessions that you have been attending so far.

Happy Natural Life: This is what your main goal should be. Don’t get carried away with mighty expectations and don’t be too shallow to give it all up. Be moderate and you will be successful with your fitness program, no matter what kind it is.
