How to Handle Shoulder Pain and Injury without Raising an Alarm?

Your Shoulder Pain can Lead to a Potential Shoulder InjuryLet’s talk about the concept of pain and injury and how it applies to a real scenario. Let’s say, this is your second week in the gym or probably with the at home gym machines. You are doing shoulders, while watching the shoulder training videos for women on the TV. Suddenly, a pang of pain shoots through one of your shoulders and that’s about it!

The next thing you know, there is a minor level injury. Statistically speaking, about 25% gym going men and women suffer from Stage 1 injuries of muscles. At times, it is just the natural process of muscle tearing kicking in – people can’t cope with it at times. In some cases, it is an articulation.

In case of shoulders, they are a small muscle group. Especially in women’s case, shoulders are unequaled by any other articulation in their body. If you are going to treat your shoulders the wrong way, you will have an injury.

How to Deal with Minor Level Shoulder Injury on Your Own?

  • Why go to a doctor when you could have treated your shoulder injury easily? If the damage is of minor level, that is, muscle damage, you can massage it out. In some instances, you have the liberty of working out with lighter weights and moderate repping. The injury will subside on its own.
  • Rotator cuff pain is also a kind of injury in case of shoulders. For a safe and durable recovery, take complete rest and try not to rotate your shoulder in any motion. If the doctor advised you to keep it in a sling, do it for your own good.
  • Shoulder surgery is the last possible resort. In fact, in any muscle’s case, going under the blade is the last option here. To be honest, surgeries don’t guarantee a safe and painless recovery. It is more like a gamble.

Lastly, you can take pain killers and do some basic medication on your own. Give your shoulder/ shoulders a week’s time until it is finally clear whether it was a serious injury or not.
